Larisa
Yudina Murder Case: Just a Smoke Screen?
If
you look at the date at the heading of the article by Associated Press writer Nasser
Shiyoukhi you will see that less than 4 months separate the events described in
it from the mysterious murder of Larisa Yudina – courageous female journalist,
member of the political party “Yabloko”. This fascist party still serves
as one of the principle organizers of the genocide of the Russian people
popularized in the West as “Perestroika”, “Democratization” and
“Economic Reforms”, lavishly financed by the American plutocratic regime.
The tragic circumstances of the death of the journalist in July 1998 (her
breathless body was found by the “Chess pond” close to the Olympic Village in
Elista) caused quite a stir in the “Russian” political circles. Even more
surprisingly, it has become a sort of “murder of the year” in the West as
well, while for the chess press it still seems to represent the main source of
sadomasochistic inspiration. It is easy to understand the ire of the chieftains of
“Yabloko”: they swore to avenge this assassination being genuinely
worried that the pace of the genocide might slow down were their ranks
decimated. But why so much publicity was given to this case in the totalitarian West? The
journalists are being killed by dozens all over the world as a matter of daily
routine. When Yeltsin’s cutthroats shot the legitimately elected Russian Parliament in
October 1993 and killed several thousand of its civilian unarmed supporters we
have only heard applause from the Western media; when his criminal government
started a bloody war in Chechnia in 1994 there was no sign of disapproval
either. In 1996 with opinion polls showing the levels of Yeltsin’s popularity
among the Russian “electorate” below 4%, the USA and Israel have bankrolled the
“re-election” of this alcoholized mummy as if he were “the only guarantor
of democracy”. Why this sudden hysteria around the murder case of some brave but obscure
journalist, head of the Kalmykian branch of the fascist political party
"Yabloko"? Despite non-existence of any kind of incriminating
evidence against the FIDE President in this case (at least it has never been
officially disclosed) our chess hacks immediately jumped to the occasion to self-appoint
themselves investigators, prosecutors and judges and did not linger for long
before pronouncing their sentence – guilty. All of a sudden nearly all of them turned
to be sublime specialists in Russian politics, towering like “defenders of the
poor Russian people”, lecturing us on the intricacies of the "true
democracy".
They have finally pinpointed “a dictator” in Russia responsible for all her
ills.
No,
our dear chess friends from “Jaque”, "New in Chess", TWIC, KC and so on, we will tell you
who you are: the community of highly pernicious dupes. And we are likewise
convinced that
in this combination of your qualities stupidity prevails over maleficence.
Because of the dull political hacks like you millions of Russian and Ukrainian
pensioners were and still are starved to death with their pensions of roughly $10-$20 per month and those who continue working are
earning mere pittance not even worthy of being called an unemployment benefit. It is because of your blind
and thoughtless commitment to the internazi agenda that the hundreds of billion of dollars from Russia
are safely channeled to the West and laundered there with utter impudence. Only because of your unreserved racist support to the bloodthirsty, hateful,
immoral and goony individuals like Kasparov there is no place to
dignity, responsibility and honor in Russian politics (the same as
everywhere else). Like a pack of hounds, like swarming leeches
you hurl yourselves at anyone who doesn’t belong to your internazi gang to
smear, belie and slander him. The only thing you are preoccupied with and
eagerly fighting for is unremitting ethnical cleansing in politics and media to
ensure your domination of the power structures.
Why are you so fiercely opposed to the World Players' Council, even more so than to FIDE itself?
Why do you only support thieves, liars, drug-addicts, ignoramuses and
docile puppets? Because you are horrified by the very idea of existence of an independent organization of
Players, directed by a leader of strong will, democratic convictions and impeccable
reputation; you are afraid of losing your monopoly on
brainwashing us. Take it easy, you will lose it anyway. Don’t waste your time
trying to denigrate us, you will fail.
We are not looking for a confrontation with the journalistic mafia, we are always open for a peaceful dialogue, for the umpteenth time we request you to seriously reconsider your destructive attitude.
The
following article by AP gives a sample of treatment of the palestinian journalists
by “the
main stronghold of Western democracy” in the Middle East.
| Reporters Claim to Be Israel
Target By Nasser Shiyoukhi Associated Press Writer Saturday, March 14, 1998; 3:10 p.m. EST HEBRON, West Bank (AP) — Palestinian and foreign journalists on Saturday protested what they said was the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists by Israeli troops during violent clashes in the West Bank. Eight Palestinian journalists were shot with rubber bullets Friday night in the West Bank town of Hebron when Israeli troops clashed with stone-throwing Palestinian demonstrators. The army said it regarded the shooting of the journalists as "a very grave incident" and that it would study all the evidence. The Foreign Press Association of Israel called the army's conduct "unacceptable" and cited the case of a Palestinian cameraman shot at least three times as he lay on the ground bleeding. "All parties should respect the work of journalists and not use them as targets, as was the case in Hebron," the statement said. Palestinian journalists marched through Hebron on Saturday to protest the army's actions. The journalists carried cameras and tape recorders of the injured TV crews on stretchers, along with placards saying "Stop harassing and shooting journalists and reporters." Esmat Jaabari, mother of injured ABC cameraman Amer Jaabari, carried a placard saying "Don't kill my son." He was also among five Palestinian journalists injured four months ago while filming another clash between Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli forces. Nael Shiyoukhi, a sound technician for Reuters TV, was hit four times by rubber bullets. Footage of Friday's incident showed him lying on the ground bleeding profusely from a rubber-bullet wound in the head. As he lay there, he was hit three times in the body. Two of the hits were clearly visible on the video. The commander of Israeli forces in Hebron, Col. Yigal Sharon, said the soldiers were unaware they were shooting at journalists because of the darkness and because the TV crews were mingling with the Palestinian crowd. "There is no deliberate shooting at anyone who is not involved in the confrontation," he told a news conference. The Palestinian journalists dismissed the assertion that they were in the crowd. "We were 20 meters (yards) from the soldiers and 200 meters (yards) from the demonstrators," said Reuters cameraman Mazen Dana. "They were firing at demonstrators to the north. We were to the south of them. As soon as we switched on our lights and started filming, they turned round and opened fire on us." Nael Shiyoukhi said the soldiers knew they were shooting at journalists. "I shouted in English and Hebrew, ‘We are journalists, we are journalists. Don't shoot.'" |
